The installation of synthetic turf can definately complement the stylish finish of exposed aggregate. With the installation of Artificial Turf a front yard will remain low maintenance all year round and best of all, save water, our most precious resource.

Do you dream of having a low maintenance front yard? Looking for an alternative to paving, gravelstones or bluemetal? Synthetic Grass is a great way to enjoy some greenery without having to resort to a concrete jungle.

Down in the lovely estate of Koombana Gove we installed some Summer Prestige synthetic turf. Barry and Mel had just finished building their stunning new home and wanted to finish off the front landscaping with some low maintenance synthetic grass.

The centrepiece of this design is the large garden pot which is reticulated from below. To allow this to happen we were able to install the artificial turf after the pot was in place.

Barry and Mel can now enjoy a very easycare front yard design that is waterwise, their neighbours will be green with envy.

When there is no access to the backyard from the front and the rear access is up 2 flights of stairs having a natural lawn is very challenging. The lawn at this property in Marlston Hill, Bunbury was suffering from a lack of regular maintenance.

                         BEFORE                                          AFTER

Now there is no need for any more watering, fertilising, mowing or maintenance saving alot of time and money. This backyard has never looked better........

This week we made the trip down to the beautiful Hamelin Bay. Anna wanted to finish off their holiday beach getaway with low maintenance landscaping.

The installation of RoyalGrass meant that Anna had a soft, suitable area for the kids to play at any time. The rain managed to stay away long enough to successfully complete the turf installation.

It came up looking great, now all we need is the native plants and garden to finish the area off.

Kevin and Judy from Bunbury were keen travellers. Every year they would vacate the South West and travel different parts of Australia and sometimes overseas. Large amounts of time spent away from home meant their lawn suffered.

Kevin said that each time he arrived home from holidays it took him a long time to get the lawn looking green again. He said with the water restrictions it made having a green lawn almost impossible and once the lawn beetle started to take over he gave up.

With a Synthetic Grass Kevin and Judy were able to rest at ease while holidaying away, knowing their yard would still look how they left it, looking great.

Here is a snapshot of Kevin and Judy's rear yard. Along with the fantastic view of the ocean they can enjoy a stunning maintenance free backyard.

I'm sure you'll agree, the front yard doesn't look too bad either.

This week I met Alan from Usher, South of Bunbury, Western Australia. Alan wanted to improve the front yard but wanted to stick to a firm budget. Initially the quote for the entire front yard in synthetic turf was far too much money.

I suggested some garden kerbing around the house with some easy care native plants to reduce the lawn area. This worked and we were able to keep the total front makeover under budget.

Now Alan is the Envy of his street. The area of his front yard is quite substantial. It consumed alot of Alan's time with regular maintenance.

With the installation of synthetic turf Alan has significantly more time available to be spent with the family.

If you have a strict budget to adhere to there are ways of reducing the initial cost of an investment into artificial grass. Contact us to find out how.

IMG_0485.JPGNina from Dawesville wanted a much easier backyard to maintain. The existing kooch grass just did not want to grow.

Due to the split level of Nina's yard the limestone retaining walls made it difficult for any lawn mowing contractors to access the area.

After several applications of glysophate over 4-6 weeks the kooch grass had completely died off.

Synthetic Lawn South West then got to work. We built up the area with a foundation of crush limestone and brickies sand.

The access to the bottom section presented several challenges. The amount of different levels caused some issues. We used over 2 tonne of sand to spread over the steps to build  some sloped ramps. This enabled us to safely run the wheels barrows.

Two and a half days later and the yard looks fantastic. Nina went with our new Synthetic Turf product, RoyalGrass. With her young daughter the RoyalGrass ensured to be a smarter option remaining around 20% cooler than other varieties.

As you can see below the result speaks for itself. The perfect play area for young ones that is low maintenance and requires no water. Thanks Nina, hope you enjoy the turf for many years to come.
